Warning - Shameless Self Promotion Ahead

Thanks to those extremely talented and clever women over at The Thinking Person's Guide To Autism I can go another few days without racking my brain for a post topic. They have agreed, most probably out of sympathy, to present an article I sent them quite some time back about the experience of grief  when your child is newly diagnosed ASD, on their blog. You'll be able to tell I penned it a while back ( a few months ago) as I use the word disability in the article, something I would probably not do now as blindly as I did back then. In case you missed it, see my post, When is A Disability Not a Disability, which explains this mind shift.

Anyway it may be well recieved, or the shit might hit the fan, or a bit of both. Which I've come to accept over time is par for the course when I choose to speak out. Which I do. A lot.

  2. Kats thanks so much for your lovely comment. It exemplifies precisely why I started this blog. To reach out and connect with other mums who are going through the same emotional struggles. I am sure things will be OK. Just remember Autisms First Child. That's what I do.
Take care and hope to hear from you again.
BTW - The Hammiesays blog in my blog list is by an Australian mum living in Ireland.
